Shane Hopper is a native of Winder Georgia. Shane was a 4 year letterman at Winder-Barrow High School, where he was a 3 time All-American selection (Baseball America). Shane went on to letter 3 years at the University of Georgia, then completed his college career at Columbus State University, and graduated from CSU with a degree in Criminal Justice. Shane went on to play professionally with the San Diego Padres (AAA), where he was part of the Minor League Team of The Year, which also won the Cal League Championship in 2001. Following his playing career, Shane began his coaching career with Team Elite Baseball in 2005. He started the 16U Division in 2009, and has overseen the age group through 2022. Through that time span he saw the age group grow from 1 team in year 1, to a National Power year in year out. He has been a part of numerous championships, including 3 Perfect Game National Titles (2018,2019,2021). Shane has also been a major contributor to the development of players and staff within the TE organization through his role as Player Enhancement/Development (2018-2022). Shane currently resides in his hometown of Winder Georgia, where he and his wife Ashley are raising daughters Finley and Fallyn.
